Portfolio Review Guidelines

We appreciate your interest in being represented by Portraits, Inc. Because Portraits, Inc. is an active business, it is impossible to give initial reviews of artists' portfolios in person. Our Portfolio Review Board meets two times each year to look at photographs of work by prospective artists. We have listed all of the requirements for submitting a portfolio below. All material will be returned to you approximately thirty days after the submission deadlines listed.

If the Board selects your artwork for a second review, you will be asked to visit the art gallery to show the staff some of your original artwork. If, after the second review, the staff feels that you and your work would be a valuable addition to our roster, you will be invited to join as an Associate Artist.

Please be assured that we will give your portfolio material our careful consideration.

Please Note:

  • Time does not allow us to give individual critiques, either in writing or orally.
  • It is essential that you are fluent in English.
  • We accept NO responsibility for postage (see below).
  • We accept NO responsibility for materials lost or damaged while in transit.
  • Do not send loose slides, CD's or videotape.
  • Do not send original artwork. (Original artwork will be returned immediately without consideration.)
